Steering Wheel Controls Not Working With Sirius Radio?
I just had Sirius radio installed into my satellite ready radio system in my 08 Toyota Camry Solara. Everything works great, but the steering wheel control which normally switches between my presets when I’m listening to regular FM stations only goes up or down the channel listing when I’m listening to Sirius. In other words, it goes from Sirius channel 1, 2, 3 4, and so on….NOT my presets.
Is it normal to lose this function?

How to install sirius radio in a car that is equipt for it?!?!?
So i have a 2008 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited Edition Sedan and one of its many features is that it comes Satallite ready. The dealer made it seem like it was so simply and all I had to do was call Sirius and get a code or what not.
I HAVE a sirius radio account and have one set up in my Pathfinder and had another one in an older surbaru that I had ((but no longer use cuz that car died lol)) so signing up is not the issue here.
Once I got the new car car and was playing around with it and reading the options, it says i NEED some sort of reciever for the Sirius to work in the car so I call the dealer and they tell me its going to be 400 bucks to install and I thought that was absoutely CRAZY!!!!
So basically what I’m asking is, IS there somewhere else I can take the car to get it hooked up for a better price; some where like Bestbuy or some where near where I live which is in Chicago, or is there a way to do it myself?!?!

I KNOW how sirius WORK on my SUBARU RADIO dial whatever its called it say SAT so all i need is to connect some stuff BEHIND THE RADIO not on the windshield or NOTHING but the dealer WANTS to basically take all my money for it and its just stupid i need a RECIEVER and some on to connect it DIRECTLY to the radio cuz my CAR radio will control it but WHO will do it?
Does Sirius work in Cancun?
I’m going on vacation to the Riviera Maya (South of Cancun) next week and was thinking of bringing my Sirius stiletto so I can listen to it by the pool. I’m just not sure if the Sirius satellite coverage goes down that far. I’ve heard of people in the caribean being able to pick up reception. Anyone with any knowledge about this please let me know.
sirius not working since may 4 update?
Sirius Tuner not working. Acquiring Signal all the time.?
I have a new Pioneer system that is satellite ready in my truck. I put the Sirius tuner made for pioneer in last night and it isn’t working right. It will play the weather station on 184 for about a minute then it starts acquiring signal and just keeps acquiring signal. 184 is the “preview” channel that works if the tuner is activated or not. This is the 4th Sirius system I have installed and never had this problem before. I was on the phone with the Sirius guy trying to activate it and it just wouldn’t work.
I have an old plug and play INV Sirius player that I quickly hooked up to see if can get signal on it. It worked just fine, so I plug the INV antenna into the new tuner and still nothing. I plugged the new antenna into my old INV and it worked fine, so I’m pretty sure the problem is with the new tuner.
If I leave everything off for a few minutes it will go back to working for about a minute and then starts acquiring signal again. This is anew tuner from Bestbuy,
Yes I did swap out the antenna. I put the new antenna on an old player and it worked. I guess it’s just the tuner.
Its only a one terminal. Its Sirius tuner SIR-PNR2
the tuner is bad. when it says aquiring signal it can be two different things, either the tuner itself or the antenna. if you tried a different antenna that works with another sat radio but not with the tuner for your pioneer you’ve found your answer. take it back and get a new one and the problem will be fixed
It was just a channel realignment and that is all that changed. If your radio is not working have you paid the bill up to date? CALL Sirius/XM and talk to a Customer Service person.. mine works great as does the satellite radios of all my friends so the problem is YOURS.
If you want your radio to control the Sirius function you most likely need the suburu part. Maybe you could buy the part then have a shop install it.
Call Auto Alarm Center 773-880-5900 (Ashland & Wellington). They have been in business forever maybe they have another solution for you.

I love the sound of Sirius, too. I’ve never read Harry Potter; my main association is with the bright star in Canis Major. (I love star/constellation names.) The main drawback in my imagining is that it sounds just like the English word “serious.” I’d imagine a lot of, “Are you serious?” jokes in his future.
Cyrus (SYE-rus) has a very similar sound, and I see Cyrus as a completely wearable option. Cyrus was an ancient Persian king who helped the Jews, so the name is used by Christians, Jews, and Muslims (not to mention country music fans!).
I would contact Toyota or the place where you had the radio installed.

I live about 3 hours east of Cancun on the gulf coast and my sirius works fine in both the house and the car.
Why is Sirius working on one computer but not the other ?
I’m on a 14-days trial o n Sirius XM and I’ve logged on on my computer. I tried logging in on my iPod and I successfully do. But when I try clicking the channel nothing happens. It refreshes the page and nothing plays.
Maybe you need a different one for the ipod?
Maybe contact the manufacturer of the ipod and find out what to do.

Sirius plan expired but radio still works. How long do I have?
I paid 18 months up front which ended 2 months ago. I paid with my credit card they charged me $0.01 to much so I have a penny credit on my account. Will having this credit keep my sirius working forever? Has anyone else not paid their bill and know how long it takes for them to shut it off.
